DANCE SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Act It Out Preschool & Junior
Act It Out was created to give young people the tools to build confidence, creativity, and connection - especially in a world that often feels increasingly disconnected. Drama teaches empathy, deep listening, and truthful storytelling - skills that not only enrich performance, but help shape better humans.
For too long, drama has been the missing piece in many performing arts studios. Act It Out brings it back - redefining what it means to train as a Triple Threat in Australia. Our mission is to shift the landscape of musical theatre by giving students a solid foundation in acting, empowering them to tell stories with emotional truth and lasting impact.
This not only creates more dynamic performers - it builds longer, more versatile careers in the arts.
We understand that one of the biggest barriers for dance studios is finding qualified drama teachers. That’s where Act It Out steps in.

Two Powerful Programs. One Seamless Experience.
Studios can now choose to purchase:
1. The Preschool Program (Ages 3–5)
A playful, story-led drama program designed to ignite imagination in your youngest students.
- Themes align with the calendar year - including Book Week, Harmony Week, NAIDOC Week, Easter, Christmas, and more.
- Universal favourites like dinosaurs, seasons, superheroes, and fairytales keep sessions fun and familiar.
- Sensory-rich activities are supported by a curated Act It Out Resource Kit, filled with playful props like emu eggs, memory boards, hats, coins, keys, wands, and more.
- No specialist staff required - your regular team can confidently deliver the program using guided voiceovers, video demonstrations, and easy-to-follow lesson plans.

2. The Junior Program (Ages 6–8, 9–12, 13+)
A 40-week progressive curriculum designed to develop confident, emotionally intelligent performers.
- Covers foundational acting technique, character work, voice, movement, and ensemble connection.
- Tailored for each age group, classes evolve to include scene study, storytelling, and performance skills.
- Can be delivered by any teacher - dance, drama, or singing - using our step-by-step video guides and comprehensive written content.

Act It Out acknowledges the Dharawal speaking people, who are the Traditional Custodians and owners of the land on which we work and play today. We pay our deepest respects and highest gratitude to the Elders, past and present, who have protected the lands and waterways and all life within since the time of the Dreaming, and to all Indigenous People who honour and keep the community and culture alive today. Always has been, always will be, Aboriginal land.
