WHAT THE STUDIOS ARE SAYING
Don't Just Take Our Word For It -
Watch Their Stories.
Real studio owners share exactly what happened when they added Act It Out.
BEHIND THE SCENES
Built By Two Women Who've Lived It.
Kristy Wright and Zoe Trilsbach co-created Act It Out after decades working in the Australian performing arts and education industries. Kristy has built her career as a professional actor, while Zoe has worked professionally across the acting, dance and singing industries - bringing a unique understanding of how drama training can complement and strengthen a dancer's performance skills.
Alongside their performing careers, they've taught the classes, run the studios, and felt the late-night "How do I keep this place running?" pressure that studio owners know all too well. Every lesson, every prop, and every video walkthrough is created by people who truly understand what it takes to engage a room full of five year olds - and a room full of fifteen year olds - week after week.

Do I need to hire a drama teacher?
✦Act It Out's programs are specifically developed to allow any teacher on your existing roster - dance, drama, singing, or general - to deliver any lesson at any time. Each and every lesson includes video walkthroughs, voiceovers, instructions and handy tips, so your team is supported from day one to deliver professional-level drama classes.
How does pricing work?
✦Act It Out subscription fees vary between the three programs available; Preschool, Junior or Premium, with studios covering costs with only 3 student enrolments. Book a free video chat and we can help you break down the numbers for your studio.
How long does setup take?
✦Studios are able to run their first classes within a week of signing up. You get instant access to the curriculum from sign up in-app or online, including video training for your team, and your Preschool Props Box promptly shipped to your door - easy!
What if my teachers have never taught drama before?
✦Then you are exactly who Act It Out's program is built for! Every lesson is professionally developed and fully scaffolded with video demonstrations, scripts and voiceovers your teachers can lean on. We've included objectives, coaching tips, reflection questions, learning benefits and more for EVERY exercise, making teaching drama easily accessible to all studio staff.
Will it work in a regional studio?
✦Yes! Act It Out is delivered fully online/in-app, and the Preschool Props Box is shipped Australia-wide. With many regional and remote areas often struggling to find specialist staff, Act It Out's easy-to-implement and ready-to-teach program allows access to high quality drama education for any teacher, any where.
Isn't drama just playing games?
✦Absolutely not! While games are one of the tools we use to keep classes engaging and creative, our program goes far deeper. We have crafted a progressive curriculum with great detail to really allow students to grow as actors, taking them up to a tertiary level of drama education. Drama isn't just about creating actors, it's teaching kids empathy, developing communication skills, building confidence and so much more.
Why do studio owners love our scripts?
✦Traditional 'kids’ drama program' scripts can lack quality and depth. Studio owners often tell us how they have been consistently disappointed by the quality of scripts available in other programs. Act It Out's scripts are expertly developed with strong structure, authentic dialogue, and real dramatic depth - allowing your students to give a connected, honest performance.
How can I integrate drama into my concert?
✦Studio owners often ask how they can incorporate drama into their concerts. With Act It Out, studios can use any of the professional-level scripts included in the program to weave scenes throughout the performance. Other studios have chosen to film these scenes and play them in between dance numbers, which is also effective for costume changes and transitions.
We also offer a bespoke script package, with custom scripts tailored specifically to your students' age group, class size and concert theme. Please reach out if you would like to discuss adding a Bespoke Script package to your subscription.

Act It Out acknowledges the Dharawal speaking people, who are the Traditional Custodians and owners of the land on which we work and play today. We pay our deepest respects and highest gratitude to the Elders, past and present, who have protected the lands and waterways and all life within since the time of the Dreaming, and to all Indigenous People who honour and keep the community and culture alive today. Always has been, always will be, Aboriginal land.
